The Boys from Stone & Sea standing at the corner of Celtic Street and Blenheim in Vancouver. This was one of those shots you take for the fun of it and why not, we were a Celtic Band! Below is a select few shots from our 2003, St. Patrick's Day gig in front of a crowd of about 165 or so. Two of our more enthusiastic followers harness the energy at the peak of our 3rd set. The four following and creatively taken photo's were done from on stage with a slower shutter speed and perhaps a flash at the very end of the exposure. We liked to play with this one musician who was an amazing Cape Breton and Scottish style fiddler. Shona is a pro and you can see from the blurred image just how much faster she moved and worked her craft compared to myself. Especially in the second photo of her. Shona always added to our musicianship and to the fun we had on stage. Having such an accomplished fiddled beside me allowed for a bit more courage in my playing as I knew she could always smooth out any rough edges... Well, almost any.Ah, the memories. Damn I miss playing!
Today's Soup.
